In our first look at the stellar PC version of Alan Wake 2, Alex Battaglia focuses on the game's demanding recommended specs, then stacks up PC against PS5 to get the foundational basis for optimised settings. Yes, this is a challenging game, as befits its next-gen visuals, but it's perfectly possible to get a good experience on a range of hardware, as long as you manage expectations - and settings - accordingly. We'll be looking at the RT/path-traced experience for our next Alan Wake 2 content, but for now, even without RT, this is still one of the best-looking games of the generation.
